The Narvi Kuru 20 brings the authentic wood-fired sauna experience and it's worth the extra effort. The cast and steel build is heavy duty, it holds a large stone load, and once the fire is going it pumps out a deep, soft heat you just don't get from electric. Reaches a proper hot sauna in about 40-45 minutes. The crackle of the fire is part of the ritual. Built to last decades.
Off-grid at our cabin so a wood heater was the only option, and the Kuru 20 is excellent. Big stone capacity means wonderful steam, and the wood heat is softer and deeper than electric. Took about 45 minutes to get hot. Solid Finnish construction. Love it.
The Kuru 20 itself is superb — heavy, holds lots of stones, deep wood heat. Just plan for the flue and clearances; a wood heater install is more involved than electric and you'll want it done right for safety. Once set up it heats well and the experience is unmatched. Recommended for anyone wanting true wood-fired sauna.
Paired the Kuru 20 with our cedar barrel and it's a perfect match. The wood fire heat is incredible and the stones throw beautiful steam. Heats up in about 40 minutes once the fire catches. Heavy, well-built heater that should outlast us.
Wood-burning is the way and the Narvi Kuru delivers. Robust build, generous stone load, and the heat is deeper than any electric I've used. Worth the chimney setup. Highly recommend.
