I'm ski patrol at altitude and my cabin sauna runs on wood by necessity and by choice. The Kuru 20 has the firebox for serious heat and shrugs off Sierra cold. I lined the wall behind it with the Stainless Steel Lining from here and the pairing is bombproof. Sauna Co. shipped both together and the rep actually understood high-altitude draft, which most don't.
This thing eats logs and pays you back with a furnace of a sauna. Our 7-person room is hot through and through in no time. The freight arrived palletized and intact, right on schedule.
The water hisses off these stones into a steam you can lean into. The big door makes the flames part of the experience. Communication was prompt and genuinely helpful.
Heavy steel, clean welds, and it laughs at the cold. I run it hard and it doesn't care. Delivery beat the estimate and the packaging was overkill in the best way.
From the first burn it became the reason we drive up every weekend. Solid as a vault. The rep's chimney advice was spot on and the heater landed without a scratch.
