LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) freight is how oversized items — furniture, appliances, and saunas — are shipped commercially. Your sauna shares a trailer with other freight, which keeps costs low. A lift-gate is attached to the rear of the truck; it acts as a hydraulic platform that lowers your pallet from truck height (about 4 feet) to ground level. The driver is responsible for getting it to the curb — not to your backyard, garage, or install location.

Standard curbside freight does not include inside delivery or placement. The driver's responsibility ends at the curb. If you need white-glove delivery (inside placement, debris removal), contact us before ordering — it is available on most products at an additional cost and must be arranged in advance.

If no one is available to receive the delivery, the carrier will leave a notice and attempt redelivery on another scheduled day. Most carriers allow up to two redelivery attempts before returning the shipment to the terminal, which may incur storage fees. We strongly recommend being present so you can inspect the packaging before signing.

Make sure the delivery vehicle can access your property — most freight trucks are 48–53 feet long and need a clear straight approach. Clear a path from the curb to your install location so you can move the pallet quickly. Have a furniture dolly, pallet jack, or a couple of helpers ready. Your sauna does not need to be at the final install spot — just safely off the curb before the driver leaves.

Note the damage on the delivery receipt before signing. Write specifically what you see: 'corner crushed,' 'forklift puncture on left panel,' etc. Then take photos from every angle before you move anything. Email those photos to info@saunacompanyusa.com within 48 hours. Do not refuse delivery unless the sauna itself is visibly destroyed — a damaged box usually means a protected product inside, and your documented receipt gives us full claim authority with the carrier.

No. Concealed damage (damage not visible on the outside) is covered if reported within 48 hours of delivery. Email us photos as soon as you discover it. We open the claim with the carrier and arrange replacement parts or a replacement unit at no cost to you.

We currently ship to the contiguous 48 United States. If you're in Alaska, Hawaii, or Canada, contact us before ordering — we can sometimes arrange custom freight at an additional cost quoted in advance. We do not ship internationally at this time.

Address changes are possible if the order has not yet shipped. Once a freight shipment is in transit, address changes trigger carrier re-routing fees (typically $150–$350). Contact us immediately at info@saunacompanyusa.com if you need to change your address.

Lift-gate trucks need about 10 feet of vertical clearance and a reasonably level surface. If your property has a very steep or narrow driveway, or is on a private road inaccessible to a 53-foot truck, let us know at time of order. We can often arrange a short-haul delivery to a nearby accessible drop point. Rural and private-road deliveries may require special coordination — always better to flag this early.
