The Serenity barrel is everything I hoped for. The Eastern white cedar smells incredible and the craftsmanship from Dundalk is obvious in every joint. We seat four comfortably with room to lie down on the upper bench. The Harvia heater they paired it with gets us to 180 in about 35 minutes. Curbside freight delivery was on time but heavy, so line up a couple of helpers. Assembly took an afternoon with two people.
After researching for months we went with the Serenity and have zero regrets. The barrel shape heats so evenly and the glass door looks premium. We use it almost every night in winter, the cedar holds heat beautifully. Took us a weekend to assemble, pre-cut staves made it manageable for two non-handy people. The freight carrier dropped it curbside and we rolled the crates back on furniture dollies.
Dundalk's reputation is well earned. The wood is thick, the bands are solid steel, and the bench wood is smooth with no splinters anywhere. Heat-up time is quick and the heater throws great steam over the rocks. We do family sauna nights and the kids love it. Honestly feels like a piece of furniture in the yard.
The sauna itself is fantastic, warm, fragrant cedar and well made. The only stress was the LTL freight, it comes curbside on a pallet and it is genuinely heavy. We needed four people to move the crates up the driveway. Once assembled it's been flawless. Heats in well under 40 minutes and the glass front lets in nice light.
I added a cold plunge next to the Serenity and the contrast therapy after lifting has done wonders. The barrel holds heat so well that even on a windy evening it stays steady. Cedar benches are wide and comfortable. Assembly instructions were clear and the numbered staves made the build foolproof.
We're in Vermont and this thing earns its keep. Snowy nights in the Serenity are magical. The wood-fired warmth and that cedar aroma are unbeatable. Heater warms it fast and the rocks hold heat. Solid build all around.
Premium product. The thickness of the cedar staves is impressive and you can tell it's made to last decades. Heat-up is fast and even. The included heater is plenty powerful. Took a relaxed weekend to assemble with my son.
Gorgeous sauna and the cedar is top grade. Expect a short break-in where the staves swell and fully seal. After the first few firings it tightened right up. Now it's airtight and holds heat wonderfully. Family uses it constantly.
