What temperature range does the immersion tub reach?
The tub is compatible with SaunaLife's FDC chiller/heater systems. The chiller can cool water down to approximately 37–42°F (3–6°C) and the heater option can warm water up to 104°F (40°C) — perfect for contrast therapy.
How long does it take to reach the target temperature?
With the combined chiller/heater unit, the tub typically reaches cold temperature (below 50°F) within 4–6 hours from ambient temperature. Warm soak temperature is reached in approximately 1–2 hours.
Is a chiller or heater included?
The tub itself is sold separately from the chiller/heater. See our package bundles to add a compatible FDC unit.

This was a fantastic purchase. Great quality and it looks even better in person than in the photos. It really heats up quickly, much faster than I expected, and I can hit 105-110 in a pretty short time. It also retains heat well overnight, so by the next morning it's still in the 90s and just needs a quick re-fire. The wood-burning stove pulls strong once it gets going. Curbside freight drop was simple, just have help on hand for the crate.
We put the S4 on a small gravel pad off the deck and it has become the centerpiece of the whole yard. The Canadian spruce smells incredible the first few weeks and the staves sealed up tight after the initial soak. We use it most weekends with the kids and it comfortably fits four adults. The wood stove gets it to soaking temp in about an hour and a half from cold. Worth every penny.
Live in Minnesota and wanted something we could use through the deep winter. The S4 delivers. Even at single digits outside the wood burner keeps us at a steady 104. The insulated cover does a lot of the heavy lifting holding temp between sessions. Soaking under the stars after shoveling snow is unreal. Assembly was straightforward over a weekend with one friend helping.
The tub itself is gorgeous and the build quality is excellent. My only gripe is the freight delivery, the LTL carrier drops it curbside and the crate is heavy, so make sure you arrange a few strong people and a dolly ahead of time. Once we got it positioned and filled it sealed perfectly within a day. Heats faster than I assumed a wood model would. Would buy again, just be ready on delivery day.
I do a lot of trail running and the warm soak in the S4 has been amazing for recovery. Pair it with a cold dip after and my legs feel new. The bench seating is comfortable and the depth lets me submerge to the shoulders. The aluminum stove is solid and burns clean. Wood quality on the staves is top notch with no knots leaking.
Our three kids fight over who gets to help load the firewood now. It has genuinely become a family ritual on the weekends. Took us about two days to assemble at an easy pace following the manual. The spruce looks beautiful and we treated it with the recommended oil. Heat retention overnight is the big surprise, still warm the next morning.
Happy with it overall. Heats well and looks great. Took a little longer than expected for the staves to fully swell and stop the minor seepage, maybe a day and a half of being full. After that, watertight. The wood stove is efficient. Just budget for good seasoned firewood, it makes a difference in heat-up time.
Freight took a couple weeks but the wait was worth it. Beautiful craftsmanship and a quick heat-up with the included stove. We use it year round here in Oregon and the rainy season hasn't hurt it at all. Easy four person soak.
