Kohler Sauna FAQ
Do Kohler saunas include a heater?
Yes — every Kohler sauna ships with a FERO electric heater, stones, guard, thermometer and timer.
What's the difference between C1 and C2?
C1 is the indoor model (up to 5 persons); C2 is the outdoor model with an included floor (up to 6 persons).
What sizes are available?
Small, Medium and Large. Choose your size and finish right on each product page.
Can I add a floor or roof kit?
Yes. On indoor C1 models you can add a size-matched floor kit and roof kit in the Build Your Kohler Sauna configurator.
What electrical supply is required?
The included sauna heater needs a dedicated 240V circuit installed by a licensed electrician; amperage depends on the heater's kW (see each product's manual). LED lighting runs on a standard supply.
What glass options are available?
Depending on the model: transparent, dark-grey tinted, Stopsol bronze, Parsol and mirrored glazing. Several cabins also offer mirrored left/right assembly so the glass corner and heater sit on your preferred side.
How should I prepare the site?
Install on a firm, level surface with slight runoff for drainage — concrete, decking, pavers or compacted gravel — with a clear, accessible path for delivery equipment.
What about shipping and warranty?
Freight within the contiguous U.S. with curbside delivery, typically 1–3 weeks. Coverage applies to manufacturer defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use; Sauna Company USA handles claims directly. See full policies on any product page.

Buyer's Guide
How to Choose a Kohler Sauna
A quick guide to picking the right option from our Kohler Saunas collection.
Pick your capacity
Decide how many people you want to seat regularly, then allow clearance around the cabin for access and, outdoors, drainage.
Traditional vs infrared
Traditional saunas use a heater and stones for high-heat steam; infrared saunas use panels that warm the body at lower air temperatures.
Indoor vs outdoor
Outdoor saunas are weather-built for backyards; indoor saunas are sized for a spare room, basement, or home gym.
Materials and heater
Consider the wood species and whether a heater is included or selected separately.

How do I choose the right size sauna?
Start with how many people you want to seat, then confirm your space allows clearance on all sides. Our team can recommend a model for your space.
What's the difference between traditional and infrared?
Traditional saunas heat the air with a heater and stones for steam; infrared saunas use panels to warm you directly at lower air temperatures.
Do these saunas include a heater?

What electrical hookup is needed?
Most saunas connect to a dedicated circuit; voltage and amperage vary by model and should be wired per local codes.
