Installation Overview
Sauna wood / flooring installation — acclimate wood to the sauna environment before fixing. Use stainless steel hardware only.
- Unpack all panels and allow them to acclimate in a dry area for 24–48 hours.
- Clean and dry the installation surface thoroughly.
- Dry-fit all panels before fastening to confirm fit and layout.
- Install with hidden clips or face-screws using stainless steel hardware only — galvanized or zinc will rust and stain.
- Leave a 1–2mm expansion gap between boards to allow for heat cycling.
- Sand any rough edges after installation; do not apply varnish or paint inside the sauna.
- Run the sauna at low heat (60–70°C) for 1–2 hours before first use to drive off any residual moisture.
