Löyly 101
How a budget sauna works
A budget sauna uses a heater and sauna stones to warm the room to 150–195°F. Ladle water over the hot stones to release löyly — the burst of soft steam that defines the authentic Finnish ritual. Pick your form factor (outdoor, cabin, or combo), match the room to a compatible heater, and you’re set.

Buyer's Guide
How to Choose a Budget Sauna
A quick guide to picking the right option from our Budget Saunas collection.
Pick your capacity
Decide how many people you want to seat regularly, then allow clearance around the cabin for access and, outdoors, drainage.
Traditional vs infrared
Traditional saunas use a heater and stones for high-heat steam; infrared saunas use panels that warm the body at lower air temperatures.
Indoor vs outdoor
Outdoor saunas are weather-built for backyards; indoor saunas are sized for a spare room, basement, or home gym.
Materials and heater
Consider the wood species and whether a heater is included or selected separately.

Budget Saunas - Frequently Asked Questions
How do I choose the right size sauna?
Start with how many people you want to seat, then confirm your space allows clearance on all sides. Our team can recommend a model for your space.
What's the difference between traditional and infrared?
Traditional saunas heat the air with a heater and stones for steam; infrared saunas use panels to warm you directly at lower air temperatures.
Do these saunas include a heater?
It depends on the model — some include a heater, others let you choose one. Each product page lists what's included.
What electrical hookup is needed?
Most saunas connect to a dedicated circuit; voltage and amperage vary by model and should be wired per local codes.
