What temperature range does the immersion tub reach?
The tub is compatible with SaunaLife's FDC chiller/heater systems. The chiller can cool water down to approximately 37–42°F (3–6°C) and the heater option can warm water up to 104°F (40°C) — perfect for contrast therapy.
How long does it take to reach the target temperature?
With the combined chiller/heater unit, the tub typically reaches cold temperature (below 50°F) within 4–6 hours from ambient temperature. Warm soak temperature is reached in approximately 1–2 hours.
Is a chiller or heater included?
The tub itself is sold separately from the chiller/heater. See our package bundles to add a compatible FDC unit.

The S1 immersion tub is stunning solid wood and the dual cold/hot capability is exactly what I wanted. I plunge cold in the mornings and soak warm on cold evenings. The freight delivery arrived curbside on a pallet, well crated, and two of us handled it fine. Water stays clear with the filtration and the lid keeps the temperature stable between uses. Genuinely the highlight of my daily routine.
Pairing this with our sauna for hot-cold contrast has been transformative for my recovery and sleep. The S1 is deep enough to submerge fully and the wood barrel looks beautiful on our deck. It holds cold temperatures impressively well even on hot days. Setup was simple for two people.
Love the S1. The build quality is superb and the immersion depth is great for a true cold plunge. My only note is figuring out the draining and refilling routine took a little planning, and the curbside freight was heavy. Once you have a system it's effortless. The cold water mornings have become non-negotiable for me.
This tub is a piece of art. The staves are tight, the bands solid, and the wood finish is gorgeous. We use it cold in summer and warm in winter and it handles both. The water clarity has stayed excellent for weeks at a time. Highly recommend for anyone serious about cold therapy.

The tub itself is beautiful and well made. Just know that without a chiller the cold side relies on ice or ambient temps, so in summer I had to add a chiller to keep it genuinely cold. That extra cost is the reason for three stars. As a soaking and plunge vessel, the craftsmanship is outstanding and I use it daily.
