This Prosaunas thermally-modified sauna wood is 1"x4" tongue-and-groove wall cladding in the STP profile with a medium gap between boards. Thermal modification uses heat and steam to make the wood more dimensionally stable, moisture-resistant, and better able to resist decay, warping, and fungi than untreated lumber. The STP profile creates a refined wall surface with narrow grooves between broad cladding boards with rounded edges, while the medium gap adds defined shadow lines and visual rhythm.
