What temperature range does the immersion tub reach?
The tub is compatible with SaunaLife's FDC chiller/heater systems. The chiller can cool water down to approximately 37–42°F (3–6°C) and the heater option can warm water up to 104°F (40°C) — perfect for contrast therapy.
How long does it take to reach the target temperature?
With the combined chiller/heater unit, the tub typically reaches cold temperature (below 50°F) within 4–6 hours from ambient temperature. Warm soak temperature is reached in approximately 1–2 hours.
Is a chiller or heater included?
The tub itself is sold separately from the chiller/heater. See our package bundles to add a compatible FDC unit.

The S6 wood-burning hot tub has completely changed our winters. There is nothing like soaking in steaming water while it snows, heated entirely by a crackling wood stove. The cedar tub is beautiful and well crafted. It does take a few hours to heat from cold, so plan ahead, but the heat is steady and deep once there. Curbside freight delivery went smoothly.
We wanted a hot tub that did not need electricity and the S6 delivered exactly that. The internal wood-burning heater warms the water faster than I expected and holds temperature for a long soak. The cedar staves are gorgeous and the build quality feels heirloom level. Assembly took an afternoon. Perfect for recovery after long ski days.
This tub is a showpiece. The cedar is thick and finished beautifully, and the wood-fired heat feels more authentic than any electric tub I have used. Plan for a couple hours of heat-up time from cold and feed the stove steadily. We use it as a family two or three nights a week. The freight crate arrived curbside in great shape.
We love the S6 but want to be honest that the wood-burning heat-up is not instant; from cold it takes us close to three hours to reach a comfortable soak. Once it is hot it stays hot for a long time, so we just plan our evenings around it. The cedar craftsmanship is outstanding and it looks incredible on the deck. Worth it for the off-grid experience.
I bought this primarily for muscle recovery and it has been excellent. Sinking into hot cedar-scented water after a hard training day is unbeatable. The wood stove is simple to run once you get the rhythm. Build was straightforward and the included instructions were clear. Highly recommend for athletes who want something off the grid.

Yes, you need to plan for heat-up time, but stoking the fire is part of the charm. Delivery was curbside freight and the team scheduled a window with us. Love it.
